Performers include Dove Award winners The Isaacs and The
Kingsmen, 2006 Southern Gospel News Male Group of the Year The
Booth Brothers, 2006 IBMA Gospel Recording of the Year winners
Doyle Lawson & Quiksilver, and Southern Gospel Hall of Famers
The Florida Boys. Music continues under the stars as Southern
Gospel Nights is presented each evening. |

Description: A special ceremony will be held Saturday (Labor
Day Weekend) at 12:00 Noon in Branson Landing's Town Square.
Planned by volunteers of the Branson Veterans Task Force to
commemorate the Formal Surrender of Japan on 9/2/1945 which
brought an end to WWII, the single most defining event of the
20th Century. On that date, the Japanese formally surrendered
aboard the Battleship Missouri in Tokyo Harbor. |

Description: A beautiful and moving ceremony will be held in
observance of the tragedy which changed the world. 8:00 A.M.
in the back parking lot behind the Grand Palace under the
American High-rise Monument. Sgt. Major Tony G. Rose, U.S.
Army and a ground zero survivor of the 9/11/01 terrorist
attack on the Pentagon will be the guest speaker.

Description: An all-new show debuts for the Festival of
American Music & Crafts with the popular Salute to the Great
American Cowboy. The original musical production Headin' West
presents the pioneer spirit of the courageous cowboys who
tamed the West and framed the spirit of the emerging American
nation. Michael Martin Murphey performs in a special concert,
headlining the Western entertainment, cowboy bootmakes from
around the country compete in the 2nd annual Best of American
Bootmakers showcase competition, and an all-new area show
features a riding rodeo clown and a massive buffalo. The
festival also features hundreds of musicians playing country,
gospel and bluegrass, and over 135 visiting craftsmen
demonstrating America's heritage crafts. |
